The programme involves developing new tools to counteract the threat from chemical, biological, radiologicaland explosive weapons.

Arup has partnered with ten other European companies and research organisations to undertake the project, which runs from 2010 to 2013.

SPIRIT stands for Safety and Protection of built Infrastructure to Resist Integral Threats.
